The city of Carrara is famous in Italy and in the world for the quality of the marble quarried in its territory. The mining activity dates back to the Romans but is in the Renaissance that the large stone blocks acquire their fame, were in fact chosen this marble to achieve sculptures, churches, palaces throughout Tuscany.
